BBK 03-04 COBRA MUSTANG TWIN 65MM THROTTLE BODY

Newsflash!!!!!!!! 2003 Cobra on the Dyno BBK Twin 65mm Power-Plus Throttle Body nets 30 rear wheel horsepower! It has been known for a long time that BBK throttle bodies have been proven to improve airflow, resulting in better throttle response and more horse power on all Mustangs, but even the Brothers Performance dyno technicians were surprised to see the numbers that this simple bolt on produced at the rear wheels of the all new 2003 Mustang Cobra.

We did an initial baseline run with the stock throttle body that resulted in 372.2hp and 369 ft-lb torque.

We then bolted on a twin 62mm BBK part# 1705 this resulted in 393.4hp and 374ftlb torque an improvement of over 21.2 hp and 5.1 ft-lb torque at the rear wheels!

(Add approx 15% for actual engine horsepower number approx 23.38hp/ 6 ft-lb torque)

Then after some port and gasket matching on the intake side, we installed the BBK twin 65mm throttle body part # BBK17110 and did another dyno pull. This resulted in 402.3 hp and 383.1 ft-lb WOW!

That?s over 30 rear wheel horsepower and 14 ft-lb torque from a simple bolt on BBK throttle body.

This is a real bang for the buck power adder, one that we highly recommend to all 2003 Cobra owners as one of the first modifications to be made to their car.
